We assume IVS would be utilized mainly in the following two fields.
(1) Field of surveillance systems
In addition to the IVS characteristics of "real time image processing" and "low power consumption", "autonomous distributed image processing over the network would greatly improve the conventional surveillance system.
For example, by combining marking system with GPS or mobile terminal, the accurate grasp of situation of marked target is feasible and also IVS System which carry out tracking and surveillance of suspicious persons in the building can be developed without much difficulty.
(2) Field of Robot vision
According to renowned Robot researchers in Japan who have assessed our IVS proto-type units made comment that the characteristics of IVS, that are “real time image processing”, “low power consumption” and “small size” would not only contribute to the improvement of Robot performance, but also bring the revolution of fundamental architecture of humanoid robot.
